Reflections...

The only phrase that surfaces at the moment is "I'm going to seriously miss you, honey!"   This woman has taught me so much in life. Just some of the lessons include: A man is never worth you reducing yourself, for whatever reason. You need to have an open mind when it comes to both people and relationships. There is no perfect time to open up. Stand your ground when you need to do so. Never do anything that you don't want to do. There are people you can trust out there! Don't be afraid to speak your mind . And now that she is leaving to Israel to begin her next big adventure/journey, I feel as though I am at a loss & yet, although I feel sad about it, I'm so glad that now other people can benefit from what this woman has to teach, albeit indirectly. Thank you for being a blessing in my life, Anat. You helped contribute to the person I am becoming. Your voice will unlikely leave my head for the next good few years! I've just found the most practical definition of "self-esteem". It includes the most important elements. I found this on BBC Health . High self-esteem means that we appreciate ourselves and our personal worth. This means that: We have a positive attitude We value ourselves highly We're convinced of our own abilities We see ourselves as competent, in control of our own lives and able to do what we want. When these are lacking, low self-esteem usually results.  Low self-esteem can mean helplessness, powerlessness and even depression. At the moment, I'm losing in my internal war . On the one hand, I have this powerful, ambitious, & determined character that wants to explore the world, be adventurous & experience life without limits. But on the other, I have been living in a cocoon because of certain major changes that occurred in my life which I obviously didn't handle very well. There is a thus conflict between the two: the one just wants to move ...

This is the graphic depiction of my two sides. She is a near-perfect replica of Ellesmera & the dragon is a near-perfect replica of Murtagh. Ellesmera wears purple but on spring days, she wears green or yellow. Her hair is blond during the day & plum at night. Murtagh's scales are silver with a maroon shimmer in the sunset and an orange glow during the day.

Life is not about finding yourself...it's about CREATING yourself. What might also frighten you is how much you believed that at this moment, given the opportunity to think about that sentence. Nobody ever knows what they are destined to be when they are born. It's about the steps you take in CREATING your own destiny. How can life be about finding something that was never lost? When you take upon those challenges, you do certain things you WANT to do in order to find yourself by CREATING it! If your life and your personality were all a treasure map, a riddle with barely enough clues to get you halfway, then surely you would be lost in a maze of thoughts and directions, therefore unable to continue the construction of yourself. You become pessimistic and soon create depressing situations for yourself as you lie on the floor of life, locked in it like a prison. What you need to do is change your mindset and acknowledge that it is your perception that affects your world around ...
