TURNING POINT

For five days (which itself felt like time had stopped), I attended a workshop that changed my life. How did I find out about this workshop? My mother had partaken in the workshop before me, and she experienced a massive shift in transformation. From being one of the most troublesome relationships in my life, she became my best friend in many ways.
The workshop has been cleverly designed in such a way as to be able to break through self-created barriers of anger, fear, and control. This is the type of workshop I would recommend to:
  1. People who experience difficulties in expressing themselves correctly;
  2. People who are utter control-freaks;
  3. People who are anxious, nervous, habitually on the defensive, or act on the side of caution.

Of course, it can also be attended by any other person. I believe it will be effective for anyone who shows a desire to experience change, a willingness to participate, and openness to “commitment regardless.” The course includes both informative aspects as well as practical hands-on exercises. It is perfectly suited to people who learn from action more than words.
Before I attended Turning Point, I was driven by fear, a control-freak, and experienced suppressed anger. I can safely say that I have experienced transformation in that:
  1. I am able to observe my thoughts and feelings to whatever stimuli I encounter;
  2. I not only have willingness but also ability to consciously change my reaction to what I perceived to be “negative stimuli.
  3. I am able to appreciate fully the circumstances that I find himself in, from the little things to the most gratifying ones.

The two most important results I took home from this workshop are the following:
  1. It is nobody else’s fault but my own as to how I came to be in the position I am today, with the thoughts and feelings I bear. It is up to me to change them now that I acknowledge my role in creating it.
  2. I am most happy when I am dancing – all I want to do now is dance! Any kind of dancing! I love the physical activity involved when I dance and especially what groups of happy people dancing look like.

My final word on this is really simple: if I had only one week left in this lifetime, I would do whatever I could to encourage and ensure that more people attend this workshop (which is not really a workshop but rather your life). In fact, if all of our world leaders, and future leaders in the youth, attend this workshop, we all would be living in a brand new highly conscious and content society!
